The Spring Carnival is just around the corner, which means it’s time to shop the latest racing fashion trends!

After years of attending the races, like most girls, I've spent a small fortune on finding that "on trend" outfit to wear. Keeping in mind it's never just one pair of shoes, one dress, a hat and one handbag; the carnivals run for days and we all want the perfect outfit for each of them. After a bit of research, I've come up with an ideal way for all of us to wear the latest spring fashion racing trends, and do it without breaking the bank!

I was lucky enough to be introduced to the Melbourne based company Her Wardrobe, last spring when I needed an outfit for the Cox Plate. Her Wardrobe allows you to hire a designer dress for the night, and return it the next day without spending your week’s wage. Stocking some of the hottest designers such as Lover, By Johnny and Yeojin Bae, Her Wardrobe have come up with a concept that allows you to be Cinderella for a night.

Personally, I tend to only wear that statement piece once and if your anything like me, this is the site for you! Not only do they stock the latest fashion trends for all occasions, but they're at an affordable price. Being able to hire millinery and accessories directly from Her Wardrobe to complete your race day look is just another reason why heading to is a must!
Hire designer dresses from labels Alex Perry, Ellery, By Johnny, Alice McCall and more. Free Australia-wide delivery and dry-cleaning with every dress rental.

Speaking of millinery, I have found that in the last couple of years I have been a little more drawn to wearing headpieces rather than hats for the races. That doesn't rule me out from ever wearing a beautiful big hat again though! One designer that changed my view on headpieces is Sydney based Luxe headpiece designer Heather McDowall. I met Heather at Sharon Lenton's Thoroughbred event two years ago and have obsessed over her gorgeous pieces ever since. Heather's pieces are elegant and timeless. She creates young and fresh head wear which will definitely have other people's heads turning when your trackside. They're bold and they standout so what are you waiting for? Jump onto and start shopping!

I hope you guys love the photos that feature Her Wardrobe clothing, hats and headpieces and luxe headpieces by Heather McDowall

Fitness is something I am very passionate about. Ever since a young age, I have been involved in a wide range of sports and physical activities including netball, athletics, Oztag, snowboarding and of course horse riding. Recently retired Group one jockey, Jim Cassidy, aka Dad LOL, always had to maintain a fit and healthy lifestyle. Both of my sisters Nicole, Piper and myself were encouraged to live like this too. In order to keep his weight down, other than maintaining a strict diet, he would often box with his trainer Malcolm Ayoub and for big race days, when he really needed to lose those extra kilos, he's been known to box in the sauna.

At one stage, I was constantly exercising but wasn’t getting the results that I wanted. I decided to try boxing and to be honest at first I found it very difficult. I stuck with it and started regular sessions with Titan's trainer Nathan Lai who also trains jockey's Sam Clipperton and leading premiership jockey James McDonald. I now box with Lai once a week and try to do at least four boxing classes when I have the time.

Titan’s gym in Coogee has great cardio classes that appeal to both men and women. I usually like to mix things up with a 30 minute hit class, total body and of course, boxing. For more details about the gym, click the link below.

Boxing has not only made me fit physically, but mentally I feel stronger and more switched on. Feeling good about your self is very important and I can safely say that starting boxing is one of the best choices I have ever made. I used to feel a little insecure about my problem areas but I now feel fit and strong and have come to the conclusion that the saying is true: the more you put in, the more you get out.

I decided to do my first shoot at Coogee as it is somewhere I tend to do most of my outdoor exercise including the infamous 'killer stairs'. If you follow me on Snap Chat, you will know that I spend a lot of my time running up and down them.

I hope you enjoy my blog and if you have any questions or would like to work with me, please send me an email!
