OPTIC WHITE STAKES DAY AT ROYAL RANDWICK

The Spring Carnival was in full swing last Saturday for Optic White Stakes Day. Not only was I excited about heading out to the track to check out the fashion on the day, I was lucky enough to feature in Saturday’s Daily Telegraph showcasing the amazingly talented Heather McDowall millinery to kick off the carnival.

Draped in designer Sant Elia’s Allegra dress, mounted on the sweetest horse I have ever come across ‘Jabba the Star’, I was so excited to be given the opportunity to be apart of the shoot for the Daily Telegraph.

The fashion tip for the day was ‘Add a splash of red to your outfit’ and both the boys and girls listened. Whether they wore a red lip, splash of red in their dress or millinery, red nail polish and even some red ties - everyone managed to get on board!

With everyone in great spirits for a big day at the races, we can not forget the main attraction for the day and that was to catch a glimpse of the superstar mare Winx.

Winning her 11th consecutive race in the Group 1 George Main Stakes, it was the icing on the cake for another amazing day of racing!

For those who haven’t attended the races before or are thinking about heading out this weekend or the long weekend, make sure you jump onto the ATC website which I have attached below for you to purchase your tickets. It’s such a fun day out and great excuse to get all dressed up.

Big thanks to Her Wardrobe for my beautiful Thurley dress for the day. I will be out at Randwick on Epsom Day and excited to see you all their!

COOGEE COASTAL WALK & THE KILLER STAIRS

It’s no secret that living in the Eastern suburbs has many perks but one that I value the most is the access to our incredible beaches and coastline. As much as I love getting through a hard workout at the gym,
I like to mix up my regular exercise routine by getting outside and doing a coastal walk. Plus, you cannot beat the combination of good weather and the views during Spring in Sydney!

The Bronte to Bondi coastal walk is definitely one of the most popular walks but Coogee has become my favourite location for outdoor exercise. Not only have you got the amazing scenery, but if you want a good workout, make your way over to South Coogee for the Killer Stairs.

Last December, I decided I wanted to get as fit as possible however as it is the silly season, I knew that I needed to have a good balance between exercise and enjoying myself.

I woke up every morning and headed to Cairo Street before it was too hot and walked up the 210 steps as many times as I could. Keep in mind, I said walked. If you can run up the stairs, you deserve a round of applause!

If you are looking for some high interval training and your aim is to 'tone and tighten' your body just in time for bikini season, the stairs are a great option for that full body workout.

I won't lie, it's a love hate relationship. They are called the 'Killer' stairs for a reason but worth every step!
